Why Eggs and Bunnies on Easter?

"Everything happens for a reason...everything that exists has a reason of its existence"

Where does the word  EASTER came from?

Pagan Tradition gave us the English word "easter" which comes from the word "eostre", The Anglo-Saxon word for April was "Eostre Monath" (the Month of Openings)

According to Bede, the English monastic Historian, the month was named after the Anglo Saxon goddess Esostre. Rituals related to the goddess Esostre focus on new beginnings, symbolized by the Easter eggs , and fertility which is symbolized by the hare (or Easter Bunny)

So why  Eggs and Bunny on Easter?

Here's an Anglo-Saxon Legend to explain that: :)

An Anglo Saxon legend tells how the Saxon goddess Eostre found a wounded bird and transformed it into a hare , so that it could survive the winter. The Hare found it could lay eggs, so it decorated these each spring and left them as offering to the goddess. (Well that's the legend)

It is also commonly believed that Easter are Christian festival. For Christians, the custom of giving eggs at Easter celebrates new life.

Whatever the reason may be,Easter becomes part of the tradition where Kids and adults alike enjoy the season in every possible way they can.

This Year, Elite Resort and Spa -Muharraq celebrates  Easter with you in the most simple but joyful celebration , as we give you THE EASTER LUNCH with a whole lot of fun for the Whole Family. This is open for ALL Christian and Non-Christians alike

Sham"rockin"...anyone?

Who says Saint Patrick's day is only for the Irish? yeah right, nobody is stopping us from celebrating Saint Patrick's day or any other celebration for that matter. But little did we know what's this celebration is all about. Sometimes,  It pays to know the How and Why of certain things. Its not just enough to go with the flow, to ride with the music... so lets  be a real  IRISH once and for all! :)

Saint Patrick's Day is a public Holiday in republic of Ireland. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish around the world especially in Britain, Canada, united States, Argentina, Australia and new Zealand

well surprisingly....IN THE MIDDLE EAST  too! :)

( Lá Fhéile Pádraig- The day of festival of Patrick)- It is a Cultural and religious holiday celebrated every 17th of March. Saint Patrick is the most commonly recognized Patron saint for the Catholics in Ireland.

The day generally involves public parade and festivals and of course wearing the green or SHAMROCK!! So why the green now?

Read on to find out!

Shamrock
Shamrock as they call it refers to a young spring of clover with three (3) leaves-It is used as a metaphor for the Christian Holy Trinity (Hmmm makes sense) So it is indispensable to any Saint Patrick's Day  celebration.

Got it now?

Now lets get to the main point...:) Since we are fond of celebrating this festivities...let's all do it ALL OUT!
