Who says Saint Patrick's day is only for the Irish? yeah right, nobody is stopping us from celebrating Saint Patrick's day or any other celebration for that matter. But little did we know what's this celebration is all about. Sometimes,  It pays to know the How and Why of certain things. Its not just enough to go with the flow, to ride with the music... so lets  be a real  IRISH once and for all! :)

Saint Patrick's Day is a public Holiday in republic of Ireland. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish around the world especially in Britain, Canada, united States, Argentina, Australia and new Zealand

well surprisingly....IN THE MIDDLE EAST  too! :)

( Lá Fhéile Pádraig- The day of festival of Patrick)- It is a Cultural and religious holiday celebrated every 17th of March. Saint Patrick is the most commonly recognized Patron saint for the Catholics in Ireland.

The day generally involves public parade and festivals and of course wearing the green or SHAMROCK!! So why the green now?

Shamrock as they call it refers to a young spring of clover with three (3) leaves-It is used as a metaphor for the Christian Holy Trinity (Hmmm makes sense) So it is indispensable to any Saint Patrick's Day  celebration.

Last 14th Feb, Waikiki Poolside of Elite Resort & Spa was transformed into a  Romantic Haven for all the lovers in town. Candle Lights...Balloons...Floating heart...Roses...wines...Acoustic Band serenading are just some who even made the night extra special!

Lady Guests were welcomed with a rose which was  dramatically handed to them by their partners. Some of the sweetest Male Guests even come ahead of time to make their reserved tables more special for their love ones by setting up special flowers, Balloons and chocolates.

Baking The Record...the Elite way!

25th December 2013- Bahrain set a new record as Elite Resort & Spa unveiled the LONGEST YULE LOG in the Middle East, which was previously held by Media Rotana in Dubai.

A dozen pastry chefs worked tirelessly to bake and assemble this enormous cake for three days.The final Yule Log is 50 Meters long  weighed 250 Kg, shaped in a form of Christmas Tree stretching across 25 tables. Elite Resort & Spa Chef, headed by Chef Sultan used 1200 eggs, 70 Kg of sugar, 30 Kg of flour, 3 Liters of Vanilla essence, 40 Kg of Choco cream made with 8 Kg of couverture Chocolate, 10 Kg of dairy butter, 18 kg of icing sugar, 25 kg of fondant sugar and other Ingredients.

When Santa Came to Town

Who would have thought that Santa Clause could possible invade Middle East in a grandiose entrance at Elite Resort and Spa-Muharraq?

Last 25th December, Elite Resort & Spa Guests were awed by the coming of Santa Clause by a crane! before the most awaited Santa arrival, 4 Elves rappelled down the Building which thrilled everyone!
